1585 Healthcare Capital (“1585”) is an investment firm focused on acquiring and investing in businesses that facilitate the delivery of quality healthcare. Our goal is to drive better health outcomes for older adults and the underserved by building a platform that better aligns the incentives of payors, providers, and patients.

As an operating philosophy, 1585 takes a collaborative and hands-on approach to work with each of our portfolio company’s existing management team to create an organizational structure that can support its continued growth. Unlike many private equity funds, we take a long-term orientation toward ownership and are comfortable working with the various stakeholders involved in an increasingly complex healthcare landscape. The investment team’s deep financial experience, focus, and creativity allows us to be nimble and efficient in the evaluation, execution and management of investments.

The firm was founded based on the belief that the healthcare industry offers a wide range of investment opportunities to pursue profitability with a purpose – to make impactful investments that improve the health and well-being of individuals, while also increasing value for multiple parties across the delivery system.
