Mr. Albert manages and sets strategy for 1585 and originates and evaluates investment opportunities. Since 2021, he has been Co-CEO of Healthtek Solutions. He was formerly a Partner and Managing Director at The Carlyle Group. Previously, he worked at Morgan Stanley and Salomon Brothers.

Mr. Albert graduated with a BS in Economics and an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He also earned a BA in English from the College of Arts and Sciences of the University of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Culas manages and sets strategy for 1585 and originates and evaluates investment opportunities. Since 2021, he has been Co-CEO of Healthtek Solutions. He was formerly a Partner and Managing Director at The Carlyle Group. Previously, he worked at Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs.

Mr. Culas graduated with a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (“IIT”), Bombay, and an MS in Computer Science from the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University.

Julie Kim

Partner

Ms. Kim manages finance and operations for 1585 and evaluates investment opportunities. She was formerly a Principal and fund COO at The Carlyle Group. She began her career in the Project and Structured Finance Group at Morgan Stanley.

Ms. Kim graduated with a BS in Mathematics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She also earned a BS in Management Science from the MIT Sloan School of Management.

Jeffrey Fan

Partner

Mr. Fan originates and evaluates investment opportunities for 1585, and helps set technology strategy across the portfolio. He was formerly an Associate at The Carlyle Group. He began his career in the Leveraged Finance Group at Barclays.

Mr. Fan graduated with a BAS in Computer Science from the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences of the University of Pennsylvania and a BS in Economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania (M&T Program). He also has an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Ed Niemczyk

Managing Director

Mr. Niemczyk is currently a Managing Director at 1585. He was formerly a Partner at Bridges Fund Management, a private equity firm focused on impact investing, where he led its healthcare investing efforts in the U.S. Prior to Bridges, Mr. Niemczyk was an investor at The Beekman Group and Cordova, Smart and Williams. He started his career in leveraged finance at GE Capital Corp.

Mr. Niemczyk graduated with a BA in Business Administration from Franklin & Marshall College and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Logan DeSanti

Principal

Mr. DeSanti is currently a Principal at 1585 focused on deal origination and execution, as well as identifying and driving value creation across portfolio companies. Prior to his current role, Mr. DeSanti held positions at Capsule, VillageMD and Privia Health, where he gained extensive experience in healthcare operations and strategy.

Mr. DeSanti holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from The Catholic University of America.

Greg Latta

Mr. Latta is Director of Operations, providing operational support and solutions to companies across the 1585 portfolio. Prior to this he was partner in a multi-state home-based primary care start-up for 12 years where he held the roles of controller, strategic operations developer, RCM Director, and CIO.

Mr. Latta attended the school of engineering at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte before leaving to pursue entrepreneurial ventures and an education based in experience.

Charlotte Piao

CFO

Ms. Piao oversees finance and accounting operations for 1585 Healthcare. Since March 2021, she has been the Controller of 1585 Healthcare. Previously, she was a Manager in Global Credit Fund Management at The Carlyle Group. Prior to that, she worked at Blackstone and KPMG.

Ms. Piao earned a BBA in Accounting from Baruch College and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed by the State of New York.

Anna Leise

Ms. Leise works across the 1585 portfolio in operations including Provider Relations and Payer Relations. Previously, she worked in operations at Nomad Health, NYC Health & Hospitals, and Mount Sinai Health System.

Ms. Leise graduated with a BA in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in social work from Columbia University.

Arielle Grillo

Ms. Grillo leverages technology and operational workflows to maximize revenue across the 1585 portfolio. She previously worked as a special project leader at Jzanus Ltd.

Ms. Grillo graduated with a BA in Biochemistry from the City University of New York at Hunter College. She also earned an MS in Bioethics from the Alden March Bioethics Institute at Albany Medical College.

Brian Orgen

Mr. Orgen works across the 1585 portfolio as an operations specialist. He focuses on revenue cycle high performance, medical group operations, integration and implementation, and value-based care. Previously, he worked at PE GI Solutions (acquired by SCA Health) and Privia Health.

Mr. Orgen graduated with a BS in Health Sciences and an MHA from The George Washington University in Washington, DC. He also completed an Administrative Residency at LifeBridge Health, a multi-hospital system in Baltimore, MD.

John Raj

Mr. Raj works in Provider Relations across 1585’s portfolio companies. Previously he was Vice President Sales for Chandra Technologies Inc and before that, Senior Business Development Manager for Enable Healthcare Inc also worked as Provider Relations for Empire ACO NY.

Mr. Raj completed BSc Life Sciences from Madras Christian College. A student at Molloy University, Long Island NY with Healthcare professional development Medical coding ICD/CPT and Administrative Terminology certifications.

Kaitlin Travers

Ms. Travers is an operations specialist responsible for overseeing day-to-day business functions across multiple departments within the 1585 portfolio. Highly organized and detail-oriented, Ms. Travers excels at managing complex operations while maintaining a strong focus on efficiency and quality. Previously, she worked at the Carlyle Group.

Ms. Travers graduated with a BA in Political Science from Marist College.

Lily Weinraub

Ms. Weinraub works on operations and project development for 1585. Since 2023, Ms. Weinraub has been a project manager across the 1585 portfolio. She was formerly working at Maimonides Medical Center in the Population Health Department.

Ms. Weinraub graduated with an MPH from Johns Hopkins University and has also earned a BA in Community Health from Tufts University.

Tila Johnson

Ms. Johnson is an operations specialist dedicated to handling provider billing and credentialing needs across the portfolio. Before joining 1585 in 2023, Ms. Johnson worked in Operations at Nomad Health and Capsule Pharmacy.

Ms. Johnson obtained a BS in Fashion Merchandising at Texas State University and a BA in Sociology at CUNY.

Kevin Guo

Head of Engineering

Mr. Guo directs and executes on technology strategy for 1585’s investments and portfolio companies. He currently serves as Head of Engineering at 1585. He was formerly a Sr. Engineer Manager at Carbon Health, with previous technology roles at Haven Healthcare and IBM Watson Health.

Mr. Guo graduated with an M.S. in Computer Science from the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at NYU. He received his B.S. in Psychology and Computer Science from the University of North Carolina.

Connor Curnin

Mr. Curnin develops software products for the benefit of 1585’s portfolio companies and builds tools to streamline internal processes. He was formerly a Data Engineer on the Direct Investment Team at SVB Capital.

Mr. Curnin graduated from University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BS in Computer Science and a focus in Mathematics.

Albert Zhao

Mr. Zhao assists in identifying and evaluating new investment opportunities. He also performs a variety of data analysis and robotic process automation functions to help streamline performance across 1585’s portfolio.

Mr. Zhao holds Master of Science in Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Business from the University of California, San Diego.

Ece Agalar

Ms. Agalar performs quantitative and qualitative analyses to improve outcomes and optimize efficiency in the day-to-day operations of 1585’s portfolio companies. Alongside her post-transaction work, she assists in the analysis and evaluation of new investments. She previously worked as a Research Fellow at Northwestern University for two years.

Ms. Agalar has a BA in Political Science from Northwestern University.

Julia Dietrich

Ms. Dietrich works across the 1585 portfolio to streamline operational workflows. She also supports the evaluation and execution of new investment opportunities. Prior to joining 1585, Julia worked as a Supreme Court Paralegal for the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.

Ms. Dietrich graduated with a BA in Psychology from Carleton College.

Nishita Pillania

Ms. Pillania works across a variety of roles including finance, operations and revenue cycle management and is also involved in new investment evaluation. She was formerly an analyst at Deloitte in their Risk Advisory practice.

Ms. Pillania graduated with a BS in Management with a concentration in Finance from Mumbai University and a MS in Finance from Syracuse University.

Varonica Hong

Ms. Hong works across the 1585 portfolio in Provider Relations and also assists in the analysis and evaluation of new investments. She was formerly a Brand Manager at Corto. Previously, she worked as a researcher at Freeman Lab and FTRG at NYU.

Ms. Hong graduated with a BA in Gallatin School of Individualized Studies with a focus in Social Neuroscience at New York University.

Steven Huang

Analyst

Mr. Huang is currently an analyst at 1585 working across a variety of operational roles. Prior to that, he worked at Brocade Health as a financial analyst, assisting in revenue management and data reporting. Previously, he was with Justworks as an underwriting assistant in their Risk and Insurance department.

Mr. Huang graduated with a BBA in Finance from Baruch College.

Yaxin Xiong

Ms. Xiong is a member of the finance team at 1585 Healthcare, assisting the controller and supporting the operations while collaborating closely with colleagues. Previously, she served as an Account Manager at Inprocess, Inc.

Ms. Xiong holds an M.S. in Financial Management from Pace University and a B.S. in Finance from the Central University of Finance and Economics.

Helan Quan

Ms. Quan collaborates closely with senior accounting team members to support the financial operations at 1585 Healthcare. Before joining the company, she worked as an Audit Associate at KPMG.

Ms. Quan holds a BBA in Accounting from Baruch College.

Henry Zang

Mr. Zhang manages and maintains the accounting and financial records in 1585 Healthcare. Prior to this role, he worked as a transportation accountant at a trucking company.

Mr. Zhang graduated with an M.S. in Management and Systems from New York University. He also earned a BBA in Accounting from Baruch College, The City University of New York.
